VESTAKEEP® PEEK—for Hollow Sections with Large Diameters 

Evonik has decades of experience in manufacturing specialty polymers for high-precision parts in automotive and electrical engineering. Over 30 years of experience in extrusion technology for complex tubing systems and in the cable industry were the basis for rapidly implementing our own product developments to manufacture semifinished products from VESTAKEEP^® PEEK.

VESTAKEEP^® L4000 G offers our customers a good balance between melt flow and melt strength, making it possible to precision-manufacture even hollow rods. All products—VESTAKEEP^® L 4000G, the highly viscous standard material, or the glass or carbon fiber-filled VESTAKEEP^® 4000 grades—can be stably processed into semifinished materials thanks to their high product quality. We and our customers have interviewed a number of machining companies, which are unanimous in confirming the good properties of VESTAKEEP^® PEEK semifinished products during fabrication into finished parts.

Improved extrusion grade

Within a very short period, together with our customers we turned a market trend into a new product: VESTAKEEP^® 5000 G now enables customers to produce hollow sections in large diameters, which was previously impossible with the PEEK materials available on the market.

Your advantage:
You can produce sizes that come very close to the desired final dimensions. The reduced proportion of scrap material and the lower time for producing a finished part, such as a gasket, offers major savings potential.

The significantly improved impact strength of VESTAKEEP^® 4000 G and the outstanding impact strength of VESTAKEEP^® 5000 G at temperatures above 120°C as compared with other PEEK materials are the driving force for future projects with VESTAKEEP^® PEEK.
