VESTAKEEP® PEEK – The Lightweight Solution

With its VESTAKEEP® PEEK powders, Evonik quickly became a respected partner to organizations with global operations that manufacture U-profiles (UD tapes), fiber composite sheets (prepregs), laminates, and fabrics. Composite materials made with VESTAKEEP^® PEEK have remarkable mechanical properties, excellent consolidation, and high chemical resistance.

Fiber composites are manufacturing using unidirectional fiber layers or fabrics made of glass, carbon, or aramid fibers with a VESTAKEEP^® PEEK matrix. They are coated by means of powder coating processes or emulsion coating. To those who manufacture composites, we recommend medium-viscosity VESTAKEEP^® PEEK powders from the 2000 range. The particle size depends on the chosen process, though preference is given to fine and ultra-fine powders.
